This is the area near my home where I go to have fun dives. Spectacular deep reefs in the entrance to the Tamar River are a feature of this area, and provide dives as good as anything I have seen anywhere else in the world. A nearby seal colony at Tenth island is also a world class dive if you like swimming with these playful animals.

You can easily get down to 50 m on a couple of shore dives in the Tamar Estuary. Things to watch out for are strong tidal currents and ships.
